New Concept Car: Suzuki Swift EV Hybrid

Suzuki will reveal three new concept vehicles at next month’s Tokyo motor show, which will illustrate the firm’s “small cars for a big future” theme. Vehicles include Suzuki’s vision of its next-generation small global car – Regina - a two-seat micro-mobility scooter - Q-concept - and an electric range-extender version of the Suzuki Swift, dubbed Swift EV hybrid.

The new Suzuki Swift EV Hybrid is an EV with an engine driven generator. Suzuki claims the car can be driven for between 12 and 18 miles on battery power alone, which is then topped up by the petrol generator.

Further details are scarce, but the Swift EV Hybrid is scheduled to be exhibited as the Swift Range Extender at motor shows in ‘some countries.’
