The latest mule shows for the first time the Clio 4’s LED daytime running lights, which will be integrated into the gloss black grille and sited either side of a large, more upright Renault diamond logo. The front-end look has been inspired by the DeZir concept.
At launch, engines will be two new petrol turbos — a 0.9-litre triple with 89bhp and a 1.2-litre four-pot with 114bhp — and two variants of the extensively updated 1.5 dCi diesel, with 74bhp and 89bhp.
The new Clio will be five-door only (with the rear door handles hidden to give the impression of a three-door) and shares roughly the same dimensions as the current car. The platform is a modified, lightened (by around 110kg) version of the current Clio’s.
