The Problem: Certain 2012 Honda CR-V LX models have a misprint on the safety certification label, which lists incorrect values for Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, front and rear Gross Axle Weight Rating, tire size, and wheel size. Having the wrong ratings on the label could lead owners to improperly load the vehicle, which could result in tire failure.
The Fix: Honda will notify owners to come in to a dealership, where a corrected label will be applied free of charge. The recall is expected to begin around November 6, 2012. Owners of affected vehicles can call Honda at 1-800-999-1009.
Number of Vehicles Potentially Affected: 264 2012 Honda CR-V LX models are affected, built from August 30, 2012 through August 31, 2012.
