Nissan has revealed its supercharged Micra Dig-S ahead of its official launch at the Geneva motor show next week.
The Dig-S – or Direct Injection Gasoline-Supercharger – features a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder supercharged engine with stop-start system and produces 98bhp and 105lb ft of torque – "the same power expected from a conventional 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine," according to Nissan.
When mated to the manual ‘box, the Dig-S will reach a top speed of 112mph and achieve 68.9mpg with emissions of just 95g/km. The CVT variant will be less frugal, emitting 115g/km of CO2.
Sales for the Micra Dig-S start in the summer this year.
