New Car: 2012 Jaguar XK Artisan Special Edition

The Jaguar XK coupe and convertible will receive a new limited-edition trim package in Europe, this time called the XK Artisan Special Edition. The new model bundles multiple appearance upgrades that are designed to make the Jaguar XK and XKR even more stylish and luxurious.

The updates begin outside, where Jaguar will allow the XK to be painted in three Artisan-exclusive colors: Celestial Black, Polaris White, or Rhodium Silver. The XK also wears unique, polished, Orono-style 20-inch wheels. Inside, textured “scraffito-style” leather adorns the front seats, dashboard, and door panels, while the headliner is covered with Poltrona Frau high-end Italian leather.

Buyers can opt for either Shadow Walnut or Dark Figured Aluminum interior trims. Power bucket seats, a heated steering wheel, stainless-steel pedals, unique door-sill plates, and a 525-watt Bowers & Wilkins sound system are all standard. Convertible models can be equipped with fabric tops in black, blue, gray, or brown.

The Jaguar XK Artisan SE commands a price premium of about £12,000 over regular models in the U.K., or about $19,000. Unfortunately for leaping-cat fans on our shores, the Jaguar XK Artisan will not be sold in the U.S. market.
